It's been a year since I started to manage my finances seriously. Along the way, with all honesty, I still struggle in tracking my daily expenses. Sometimes I was able to list it down, sometimes I don't. And my reason, like most of the people I know - I am busy. So much to do, so little time.
And then, I attended another coaching seminar last week that blew my mind. Let me share it with you...
Most of the people when asked if they want million pesos, the answer is a big YES. And who doesn't?
Who does not want to have million pesos? More so, our minds are easily filled with things that we can do using it. Imagine what million pesos can do with your life right now? Pause for a while to think it through. It is so easy since most of our desires have corresponding amount of money, isn't it?
But there is something I learned that are vital for us to acquire the millions that we want.
Anyhow, you might already know it. Or somebody might have already told you or you might have read it somewhere. But I'll tell you again and I hope it will make a difference to hear it again and give it a new light, a different meaning.
One major reason why still until now, we do not have millions in our hands is because of what we are doing with our small change. What are we doing with our ones, tens, hundreds, and thousands that are currently lying in our hands right now or we can say just passing by. It’s not a matter of amount. What matters is how we manage our money even how small it is right now.
If we are spending all the hundreds or thousands in our hands right now, it will be the same with our millions. Again, it’s not a matter of amount. It is a matter of habit.
Is your habit that you are cultivating right now is designed to give you your millions of pesos, or dollars, or euros?
You have to decide for yourself.
As for me, I have to decide for myself and for my future family. I have to discipline myself to track my daily expenses and see where my small change is going to. And make adjustments along the way.
Definitely there will still be times that I will still be busy. But I am now making a choice to make it a habit to track my daily expenses from now on. A commitment of hope that one day, my millions will be in my hands - million of pesos, and dollars, and euros that will assist me to bless more people. And to be able to hand it down to my future children as a beautiful legacy. A legacy of blessing people and make heaven on earth (WOW).
