First thing that we have to build in our financial foundation is our protection. Because no one really knows when or where accident or death will happen.
Though, we only need protection for 2 reasons:
- We have no money or enough savings
- We have responsibility
Insurance is an instant money when we need it. We can only buy it when we don't need it and we can never buy it if we already need it.
Having no money or enough savings give us nothing but worries. Have you ever ask yourself the following questions with all honesty?
- What will happen to me when I don't receive my paycheck this month?
- What will I do if I can't come to work due to some illness?
- How can I eat?
- How can I give myself proper medication? and lot more...
- Who will provide for my family if something happen to me?
- How can they eat?
- Can they still continue their education?
- What if I can't come to work because of some accidents? and lot more...
If you are having second thought on getting yourself an insurance, ask yourself why.
If you think it as having no trust to God, then think about the last time that you lock your car or your house. How about when you use your helmet or seatbelt? We do those things not because we have no trust to God but rather as a good steward of the life that He gave us.
If you think that insurance companies or an insurance agent is not trustworthy then check if the companies are registered thru http://www.insurance.gov.ph/. Also, ask for receipt from your agent or pay directly to the company. Some insurance companies already accept an auto-debit arrangement. Others also accept cheque.
Be cautious in getting an insurance and understand what are you getting. Ask questions. Look for mentors.
Before you start your day, ensure you are properly protected.
Lessen your worries,
